Amos Emmanuel, 22, and Bryan Khan, 28, both of Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke/Linden Highway were arrested last week and charged yesterday (Tuesday) for the offence of break and enter and larceny committed on the dwelling house of Mohamed Hack. The incident occurred on November 22, 2023 at Yarrowkabra.
The accused appeared at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Judy Latchman, who read the charge to them. The duo pleaded not guilty. Bail was denied and they were remanded to prison. The matter was adjourned to January 19, 2024.
The two accused men were also charged yesterday for the unlawful possession of a firearm without licence (one. 38 Revolver) which occurred on December 28, 2023 at Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke/Linden Highway. They both pleaded not guilty and bail was denied. They were remanded to prison. This matter was also adjourned to January 19, 2024.
Emmanuel and Khan were also charged yesterday for the unlawful possession of ammunition without a licence (a quantity of .38 Ammunition). They pleaded not guilty, and bail was denied.
Meanwhile, Alwyn James, a 27-year-old resident of Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke/Linden Highway was arrested last week and charged yesterday with the unlawful possession of ammunition without a licence (thirty-one (31) live 12 gauge cartridges).
The accused appeared at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Judy Latchman who read the charge to him. He pleaded not guilty. Bail was denied and he was remanded to prison. The matter was adjourned to January 19, 2024.
