The Ministry of Education will announce the results of the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) today.
Only about 800 students can be placed into institutions traditionally categorised as “top schools (Queen’s College, Bishop’s, Rose’s, etc).
Regardless of placement, Minister Priya Manickchand has assured that students will still excel.
“I say to you today that whichever school you get, you will be able to excel there. Every school is getting the same resources: same trained teachers, more trained teachers, same text books, same and adequate furniture, same school grant to purchase materials, same cash grant, Because We Care… same everything.
“So wherever you get today, know that you can excel there. So go forth and SHINE, my dearest children. All my love,” the minister said via a Facebook post this morning.
