Guyanese law enforcement officials have arrested three Chinese nationals suspected to be part of an alleged “transnational” criminal group. The two males and one female were arrested at about 12:40hrs today at a city hotel.

Officials also seized GYD$39,000,000 and one unlicensed 9mm pistol with 15 matching 9mm rounds of ammunition.

Investigations thus far revealed that the suspects are part of a transnational criminal group involved in gold smuggling and other illegal activities.

They are currently in police custody, assisting with the investigation.
