The fourth installment of the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo is expected to be the most impactful yet due to its ambitious scope and forward thinking approach.
This was revealed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Kiana Wilburg during the launching ceremony held this morning. There, she outlined the extensive plans and new initiatives for the conference, which will take place at the Marriott Hotel from February 18th to 21st, 2025 under the theme “Connecting the Dots: Integrating the Future.”

Among the most notable is the Conference Village, which will feature a farmers’ market and arts and crafts vendors. This initiative is designed to support local businesses by providing them with a platform to engage with international delegates. Wilburg also mentioned that discussions are ongoing with key agencies to broadcast segments of the conference to remote regions, ensuring that even the most distant communities can participate in and benefit from the event.
In addition to the main four-day conference, new initiatives such as an Energy Run/Walk and an Essay competition, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, will be launched. Key topics that will be discussed include a just energy transition, financing sustainable development, developing a workforce for the future, building resilient supply chains, and promoting the advancement of women in the industry. The focus on these critical areas is designed to ensure that the conference contributes to the long-term development of Guyana and the region.
