Kaieteur News Publisher, Glenn Lall has announced his intended candidacy for the 2025 General and Regional Elections. During his September 16th programme, “The Glenn Lall Show,’ aired on Kaieteur Radio, the businessman said he is disappointed in the overall management of the oil and gas sector.
Lall has often taken controversial positions on matters in the oil industry, with key government officials often deeming his remarks either misleading or factually incorrect.
Despite government’s clarification on issues such as ring-fencing and environmental regulations in place for flaring and the disposal of produced water, Lall continues to push his unyielding positions.
Recently, he claimed that Guyana’s offshore oil operations are responsible for heatwaves country-wide and the destruction of Guyana’s crops.
Additionally, his newspaper recently published an article alleging secret cargo shipments from the Stabroek Block—claims that have been debunked by both the government and ExxonMobil as entirely inaccurate.
