Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 20:30 hrs last night (Friday, December 27, 2024) on the main access road at Cummings Lodge which resulted in the death of 33-year-old motorcyclist Ryan Jordan.
The accident involved the blue and black motorcycle, CG 6668 that Ryan Jordan was riding, and motor car PMM 3148 (red in colour) — the driver’s name and address so far unknown as he fled the scene.
The other occupant of the vehicle, Ronny Rueda, a 41-year-old Cuban National, is hospitalised.
Enquiries disclosed that motor car PMM 3148 was proceeding South along the eastern drive lane of Cummings Lodge’s main access road at a fast rate, while motorcycle, CG 6668, was proceeding north along the western drive lane of the said road. In the vicinity of 7th and 8th Field Cummings Lodge, the car driver allegedly swerved west onto the western drive lane and into the path of the motorcycle.

An ambulance was summoned to the scene and the motorcyclist, who is from Lot 62 Third Field Cummings Lodge, was seen and examined by Doctor Kelmon who pronounced him dead at the scene. The body was taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, Ronny Reuda, the occupant of the car was questioned and it is alleged by him that after the accident occurred, he and the driver went out to assist the motorcyclist. However, they were attacked by individuals in the area. The driver ran away and left him behind. He was then robbed of his wallet and other valuables and was assaulted by several persons in the area, causing him to sustain injuries to his body. He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital by ambulance, where he was seen and examined by a doctor on duty and was admitted to the said institution suffering from a fractured skull. His condition is stable.
