Police are investigating a robbery under arms committed on Onix Duncan, a 28-year-old office assistant who was robbed last night of his black Honda Navi motorcycle bearing registration number CP 234, and valued at $250,000.

The robbery occurred at about 23:20 hrs last night at UG Access Road, Turkeyen, Georgetown by two men, both of whom were armed with cutlasses. The suspects were on a black motorcycle (make and number unknown).

Enquiries disclosed that on the date and time mentioned, the victim was riding his motorcycle on UG Access Road heading in the southern direction and while in the vicinity of the Guyana Forensic Science Laboratory, he was confronted by the two suspects on a black motorcycle, who rode up from behind him.

As the suspect approached him, the pillion rider attempted to pull out his motorcycle keys. He then fought them off, and the pillion rider dealt him a lash on his back with the cutlass which caused him to fall to the ground.

The pillion rider then relieved him of the motorcycle and both suspects rode off heading north on UG road and made good their escape. Efforts so far to locate the suspects and the motorcycle have been without success. Several persons in the area were questioned as investigations continue.
