Detectives are probing a shooting incident which occurred on Friday last at approximately 20:40 hrs at the O_GUO Supermarket located at Enterprise Railway Embankment, East Coast Demerara.
It is reported that a 25-year-old man employed with C.M.C Security Service shot two men identified as Ryan and Randy Narine (brothers) of La Bonne Intention (LBI) East Coast Demerara.

Inquiries revealed that on the date and time mentioned, the 25-year-old Security Guard was on duty at the supermarket, armed with a shotgun and live cartridges. It is alleged that the brothers, Ryan and Randy, entered the supermarket to purchase beers and chocolate. This resulted in a confrontation between the two before Randy, who was armed with a knife, his brother (Ryan), and another individual known as “Boy” attacked the guard.
During the confrontation, Randy inflicted a stab wound to the left side abdomen of the Security Guard, who discharged two rounds from the shotgun, injuring both Randy and Ryan.
Emergency Medical Technicians from the Melanie Fire Station were summoned, and Randy and Ryan were transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation via ambulance. The 25-year-old guard was escorted to the same hospital by public-spirited citizens. The three individuals were admitted and are currently in stable condition.
