The 15-year-old boy who was struck down on the Amelia’s Ward Access Road on Wednesday last by a car driven by a female teacher has died.
Dead is Derrick Rambharrat, a student of the Linden Foundation Secondary School and a resident of Speightland, Lower Kara Kara, Linden.
The teen took his last breath around 14:00 hrs today in the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) Intensive Care Unit.
The Guyana Standard has been informed that around 11:40 hrs on Wednesday, the teen was riding his bicycle on the road when he was struck down by a car, PTT 4790.
The car was being driven by a female teacher. This news agency was unable to confirm if the driver teaches at the school Rambharrat attended.
Following the accident, the teen was rushed to the Linden Hospital before being transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he later died.
