With Guyana’s oil and gas industry on the verge of taking off, efforts are being made to ensure that it is well supplied with needed equipment. In this regard, Caribbean Airlines (CAL) Cargo recently teamed up with Ramps Logistics to ship a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) using the airline’s All Cargo Freighter.
ROVs are underwater vehicles that are used in the oil and gas industry for deepwater exploration and development projects. ROVs relay data and visual information to rig personnel to provide support for drilling and subsea construction.
Commenting on the recent development, the airline in a statement said, “The oil and gas industry requires, safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery at all times and Caribbean Airlines Cargo is able to successfully provide this service.”
