A 49-year-old farmer was murdered early this morning at Rampoor Village, Corriverton, Berbice.
Nigel Leslie Matthews, a farmer of Lot 14 Springlands, Corriverton was stabbed several times. His body was found at 03:00 hrs this morning in an alleyway not far from his home.
It is unclear if the victim’s death is robbery related but one of the suspects has been arrested.
Guyana Standard has been informed that the victim left home on Sunday night but did not return home.
His body was later found with his bicycle a short distance from him.
An investigation is ongoing.
