Ministry of Public Infrastructure has advised that some parts of Georgetown are currently flooded after a heavy downpour today. The situation is compounded by the afternoon high tide which requires drainage sluices to be closed. MPI will operate irrigation pumps during this period and wishes to advise citizens to take precautions as it will take some time, longer than usual, for the water to recede.
