Department of Housing has suspended all field exercises, processing of application forms and planning permission applications. This move forms part of the precautionary measures implemented by the agency to protect its staff and customers from contracting and transmitting the Cornonavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The department is urging persons visiting any of their offices countrywide to conduct business, to wear a protective mask.
This is an additional measure that supports an earlier initiative where officials have erected a pipe at the western entrance of the Brickdam offices to facilitate the handwashing procedure. Similar initiatives are being implemented at the department’s Regional Offices.
“We also urge that you continue to observe the precautionary measures as outlined by PAHO/WHO and the Ministry of Public Health. Thank you very much for your compliance and continued support,” the deparment noted.
