When it comes to Guyana’s situation on the global pandemic COVD-19, the Ministry of Public Health reported of today, April 28, 2020 there are 75 positive cases.
Of this number, 15 of them have thus far recovered from the deadly disease, while five of them remain in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
According to the Ministry of Health, it has tested 478 persons, of whom 403 are negative. There are 19 persons in institutional quarantine and fifty-two 52 in isolation.
Giving a breakdown of the statisitics, the Health Ministry revealed that of the 478 persons tested, 240 representing 53% of the positive cases are males and 238 representing 47% of the positives tested are females.
And for the Global report; according to World Health Organization (WHO), there are: – 2, 878,196 confirmed cases with 198,668 deaths
In the Region of the Americas, the number of confirmed cases is 1,140,520 with 58,492 deaths.
