After chalking up more than 120 road fatalities last year, Guyana is once again recording troubling figures one month over the half-year mark. Traffic Chief, Linden Isles reported this afternoon, that 84 persons have died so far on our roadways.
These deaths would have come from 80 accidents.
Further, these figures indicate an average of 12 deaths per month.
Notably, 37 of these fatalities involved motorcycles. This translates to 44% of all road fatalities recorded thus far.
Guyana, in 2019, recorded its 85th road fatality in October.
