Former Minister of State Joseph Harmon has made it a point to note that the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) Government has not been keeping the public up to date about the health of the two ministers who have been infected with COVID-19. Harmon pointed this out in a recent letter to the Clerk of the National Assembly. Sherlock Isaacs.
A few weeks back, the entire PPP/C Cabinet got tested for COVID-19. This was after the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hugh Todd reported to President Irfaan Ali that he tested positive for the deadly virus. Only one other Minister tested positive, Minister of Tourism, Oneidge Walrond.
However, in his letter to the Clerk, Harmon stated, “Already, several senior Ministers of government, among others, have contracted this dreaded virus and the public is at a loss as to whether they are recovering and would be declared fit to comingle.”
Harmon said that the APNU+AFC is therefore concerned about the sittings of the National Assembly.
