Acting upon information received, police this evening caught the man who fatally chopped his wife this morning at Albouystown, Georgetown.
According to police, the suspect was arrested at James Street, Albouystown at around 18:35hrs. He is assisting with the investigation.
His arrest comes hours after he reportedly chopped his wife, Clarabel Johnson, 28, at their 142 Cooper Street home following a “misunderstanding”.
Enquiries disclosed that Johnson was chopped on her right foot behind her knee with a cutlass.
She was subsequently picked up by neighbours and rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), where she died while receiving treatment.
