Police are investigating an incident which occurred today about 14:00hrs at Chief Justice, Roxane George’s residence involving two police ranks attached to the said residence.
Enquiries disclosed that two ranks were on duty when one of the officers was confronted by a male wielding a handgun.
The suspect was described as being 5 feet, 4 inches in height, dark in complexion, slim built, and was at the time wearing a black short pants, and a white jersey tied around his face.
The suspect approached the rank and pointed an object at her and fired a punch but missed. The rank then called out for her colleague who was in the garage of the building. The rank, having heard the call, went out to see who it was when the suspect pointed the object at him, causing the rank to take cover.
The suspect then dropped the object, ran in a northern direction, jumped over a fence, and made good his escape.
No shots were fired, and no one was injured.
The object was picked up and is suspected to be a toy gun. Same was lodged.
Investigation is ongoing.
