Credible sources in the Guyana Police Force revealed that Colvin Heath-London, former head of NICIL’s Special Purpose Unit (SPU) that presides over the assets of GuySuCo, has been arrested and remains in custody.
Guyana Standard understands that the former Chairman of the National Industrial and Commercial Investment Limited was taken into police custody this morning. Police reportedly called the former State employee and informed him that he was wanted for questioning. “He was questioned all day but he still needs to assist further with our investigation,” the police source said.
Heath-London was terminated from NICIL last month as the government cited serious failures on his part regarding protecting the interest of the State as it relates to the issuance of land leases.
