A man was yesterday sentenced to six months behind bars for stealing a bale of house proud toilet paper.
42-year-old Divendra Bissoon of Albion Corentyne, Berbice appeared before Magistrate Renita Singh in the Albion Magistrate’s Court to answer to a simple larceny charge.
Bissoon was arrested on November 18, 2020, after he allegedly stole one bale of house proud toilet paper valued at $2500. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 6 months’ imprisonment.
