The duo allegedly had a scuffle at the Sparendaam Police Station after Colwyn was stopped by police and asked to produce his driver’s license.
He failed to produce the print version but opted to show one that was on his cell phone since he forgot it at home. He was then asked to park his car and enter the police station.
Following that, a scuffle ensued, as seen in a video that was circulating on social media.
The Guyana Human Rights Association and the Working People’s Alliance have criticised the police for assaulting the duo.
But in return, the police said that Colwyn and Johnson assaulted them.
