Guyana has recorded 60 new COVID-19 cases from 361 tests done within the last 24 hours. This takes the number of confirmed cases since March 2020, to 6,805. Additionally, 16 more persons would have recovered from the virus. Recoveries now stand 6,083.
The death count remains at 170.
There are four persons in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 55 in institutional isolation, 493 in home isolation and 34 in institutional quarantine. Some 43,143 persons would have been tested to date.
Region Four continues to be the district with the most cases (2,893), followed by Region One (981), Region Seven (563), Region Ten (543), Region Three (487), Region Six (345), Region Nine (403), Region Eight (225), Region Two (213) and Region Five (152).
The number of confirmed cases worldwide is 91,816,091, with deaths at 1,986,871.
