Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo, a few moments ago dispelled rumours that he is or was severely unwell. Widespread rumours had indicated that the politician was diagnosed with cancer. This was the reason being given by many as to why Jagdeo was no longer hosting his weekly press conferences. Jagdeo said that this was simply a horrible rumour spread by those who do not wish him well.
“I am here and I am working to make our government successful,” said Jagdeo.
He added that he understands his roles at different times and “I am very happy to do technical work which I miss dearly.”
Jagdeo said that he was robbed of the chance to do technical work and had to focus on pressers up to early 2020 because he was “busy getting rid of APNU.”
Jagdeo said that it is now time for President Irfaan Ali to take the frontline.
