The Guyana Police Force is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 65-year-old resident of Sheet Anchor Village, East Canje Berbice.
Doreen Samaroo, a Security Guard, was on duty at the Savannah Park Primary School yesterday, when she, around 19:00hrs, told her supervisor she was feeling unwell. Moments later, she became unconscious.
She was escorted by ranks of the GPF to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations are ongoing.
