Earlier today, Speaker of the National Assembly, Manzoor Nadir announced that APNU+AFC MP, Cathy Hughes misplaced her laptop and files. The missing items were reported to have last been seen in Hughes’ briefcase which she left in the Dome of the Authur Chung Conventiom Center.
Initially, the Speaker told the House that should the laptop not be found by the police or parliament staffers, MPs may have to be searched.
The announcement was made over two hours ago but no update was given to the House or the media.
When Guyana Standard approached Hughes with queries about the location of her laptop, her only response was, “I not talking to anybody.” She then quickly walked away.
