The Guyana Police Force today, between 07:20hrs and 12:30hrs, conducted an eradication exercise in the swamplands about six miles aback Yarrowkabra Village, Soesdyke-Linden Highway. The exercise was led by three officers and eight other ranks.
During the exercise, approximately 7,689 marijuana plants between three to five feet in height were destroyed by fire. A marking of the location could not be done to ascertain land ownership due to a lack of relevant equipment.
