Rondell ‘Killa’ Bacchus was released from police custody today, following a Habeas Corpus Writ that was served on the Guyana Police Force (GPF).
Bacchus is a suspect in the gunning down of Ricardo Fagundes, called ‘Paper Shorts’. Seventy-four hours had elapsed forcing his release.
Consequently, Bacchus was placed on “substantial bail” and will be required to report to the police on specified days as the probe continues.
Guyana Standard understands that the bail was set at $100,000.
The Guyana Police Force said that while Bacchus was being escorted from the lockups by the police, he maliciously damaged a police vehicle for which he has been charged and will appear in court on April 12, 2021.
