The body of 55-year-old, Better Hope East Coast resident, Sihanouk Rampersaud was found yesterday on Success Beach, Leguan.
Enquiries disclosed that Rampersaud was visiting relatives on the island and after imbibing earlier in the day, about 16:00hrs, he left his relatives’ home to go fishing and swimming at the beach.
About 18:15hrs, relatives after realizing that Rampersaud had not returned, left in search of him.
His blue pants were found on the seawall. Further checks in the area discovered the motionless body of Rampersaud floating face down.
Rampersaud was taken to the Leguan Cottage Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. The body was then escorted to Leguan Cottage Mortuary where it awaits a Post Mortem Examination to determine the cause of death.
