Police at Richmond, Essequibo Coast, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the “unnatural” death of a resident, Toolsie Jaigobin, 59, who allegedly fell from a motorcycle yesterday at around 18:30hrs.
Balgobin’s son, Rockliff, told police that he and his father were at the backdam when the 59-year-old mounted a motorcycle, and while attempting to place his helmet onto his head, he collapsed.
Balgobin told police that attempts to revive his father proved futile.
The body was later taken to the Anna Regina Police Station where it was examined for marks of violence but none was seen.
The body was transferred to the Suddie Hospital. Balgobin was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty. His body is at the mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
