A 59-year-old retired Police Officer’s gun, ammo and other articles were stolen while he and others were swimming at the Dakara Creek, Wismar Linden yesterday.
According to the police, the retired officer visited the creek with a 48-year-old serving officer and a 37-year-old woman. He reportedly parked his car, leaving the firearm in the glove compartment, while the other items belonging to him and the other victims were left on the car seat and other parts in the car.
After they finished swimming, they all returned to the car and noticed the right side small glass to the back door broken and the right side passenger door partly opened.
The listed items were discovered missing: one 9mm semi-automatic pistol and magazine with 10 live 9mm rounds, one black Kool Pad cellphone valued $20,000, one black smartphone valued $30,000, one Samsung A30 cellphone valued $65,000, one pair of reading glasses valued $58,000, National ID, Police, and Republic Bank cards, Driver’s License, one brown handbag valued $2,000, a quantity of clothing, and over $20,000.
