Members of the private sector, including Ravin Prashad, the Chief Executive Officer of Palm Court Group of Companies; Sherry Singh, the General Manager of MP Insurance Brokers; and Navin Prashad, Managing Director of Palm Court, earlier today donated two brand new motor cars to the Guyana Police Force.
The donation was done during a ceremony outside the Palm Court Restaurant on Main Street Georgetown.
Minister of Home Affairs, Robeson Benn accepted the donation on behalf of the Force and expressed gratitude to the donors for the timely and much-needed donation which will aid in the Guyana Police Force’s efforts to fight crime.
Commissioner of Police (ag) Nigel Hoppie who was present at the event and gave brief remarks, assured the donors that both motor vehicles will be kept in immaculate condition and will serve their intended purpose.
Present at the event were also Deputy Commissioner ‘Operations’ (ag) Clifton Hicken, Deputy Commissioner ‘Administration’ (ag) Calvin Brutus, Commander Regional Division 4 ‘A’ Assistant Commissioner Simon Mc Bean, and the Force’s Public Relations Officer, Stan Gouveia.
