Ateeka Ishmael, one of the principals of Accelerated Capital Firm Inc (ACFI), who is facing multiple fraud charges was today granted bail for allegedly conspiring to fake a COVID-19 test result.
Ishmael, 32, of Track A, Coldingen, East Coast, was today brought before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly to answer to a conspiracy to commit a felony charge.
It is alleged that on July 27, at Georgetown, she conspired with Yuri Garcia and others to forge a covid-19 test to show a positive result.
After pleading not guilty, she was released on $200,000 bail and told to return to court on September 10.
Ishmael was represented by attorney-at-law Darren Wade. Prosecutor Mandel Moore prosecuted the matter.
Ishmael is currently facing multiple charges alongside her husband, Garcia, over several Ponzi scheme operations. Those matters are before several courts.
