The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has issued a wanted bulletin for Shane Samaroo also known as Travis Cortis for questioning in relation to murder committed on 48-year-old Feroze Khan , called “Eggy” on August 19 at Bennet Dam, Rosignol, West Bank Berbice.
Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Samaroo is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 330-2222, 232-0313, 221-2296, 911 or the nearest police station.
Samaroo, 27, also goes by the alias “Tanta Bai”, and his last known address is Railway Line, Rosignol.
According to the police report, Khan was walking into Bennet Dam, Rosignol when he was attacked by a man with a piece of wood. He received multiple lashes about the body before falling to ground. The suspect then whipped out a knife and dealt Khan a stab before fleeing the scene.
The police were then summoned to the scene. Khan was taken to the Fort Wellington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
