Air Services Limited registered aircraft # 8R- BKP arrived at Port Kaituma Airstrip with twelve passengers and cargo. Whilst the aircraft was landing and made contact with the airstrip, the right-side tyre of the aircraft was punctured, resulting in a complete stop of the plane.
Public-spirited citizens, with instructions from the plane’s captain, pushed the aircraft to the left corner of the runaway.
No injuries nor any further damage to the said aircraft was reported.
Investigations are ongoing.
