Any person who now wishes to enter a public building, meaning any building to which the public has access, be it public or privately owned, including all institutions of learning, must be vaccinated. This is according to the September 4 Gazette on COVID-19 emergency measures. If that person is unvaccinated, he or she must present a negative PCR test result that was taken within seven days before seeking entry to the said building.
The new guideline also notes that the employee of the said building must also be vaccinated or present a negative PCR test within seven days of entry.
It was noted that any person who fails to comply with these measures, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction.
The latest measure took effect on Saturday and will last until September 30.
