A male prisoner who is in custody at Springlands Police Station on a rape matter has been admitted a patient under guard at the Skeldon Public Hospital.
This was done after checks were made on the lockups at 01:00hrs and the prisoner complained of stomach pains. He told ranks that he had ingested a poisonous substance earlier in the day.
He remains under observation at the said medical institution.
