Police are investigating a robbery under arms, which took place at Austin Street, Campbellville, Georgetown last night around 20:05hrs.
The victims have been identified as two women, 63, and 58 years old
Enquiries disclosed that the victims were walking heading north along Austin Street, Campbellville, going home when the two men on a motorcycle came from the northern direction and stopped in front of the victims.
The pillion rider then dismounted the said motorcycle and pointed the handgun at the victims and said “don’t say a word, give me de bags” repeatedly.
The suspect then relieved the victims of one blue handbag valued $1,500 and $30,000 cash; one handbag valued $1,000 and $15,000 cash.
The suspects made good their escape, heading north, then east along the Railway Line.
The investigation is ongoing.
