A 25-year-old Policeman is now counting his losses after his Recht-Door-Zee, West Bank Demerara (WBD) home was burglarized sometime between 03:30hrs and 20:30hrs on Saturday last by person(s) unknown.
Guyana Standard understands that the victim secured his premises on Saturday and went to work. About 20:30hrs, he returned home and observed that his home was ransacked. Upon checking, he discovered the following missing: a 2000-Watt Pyramid amplifier valued $50,000; a Sony DVD player valued, $12,000; two Timberland boots valued $60,000; a quantity of clothing and foodstuff, valued $25,000; and $50,000 cash. Seven police regulation buttons and one name tag were also stolen.
He also observed that four louvre panes were removed from a window. Investigations are ongoing.
