The Guyana Police Force disclosed moments ago that it is investigating the alleged murder of a businessman early this morning at his home in Tuschen Housing Scheme.
Dead is Keith Richard Hohenkirk called “One foot.”
According to police reports, the 59-year-old businessman lived alone with a small concrete grocery shop at the front of his premises. He was last seen on Saturday at about 18:40hrs sitting on his front veranda.
However, around 06:39hrs today, the neighbour who last saw him went to check on him as she usually would. When she opened the front door which was not locked, she observed the entire hall and kitchen area was ransacked.
Further checks in the bedroom revealed the victim lying motionless on his back with his hands tied with transparent scotch tape and his mouth covered with a piece of brown cloth.
Police ranks were summoned to the scene immediately. No marks of violence were detected.
The body was subsequently escorted to the Leonora Cottage Hospital where it was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor after which it was escorted to the Ezekiel Funeral Parlour for storage awaiting a post mortem examination.
Investigation into the alleged murder is in progress.
