A post-mortem examination with dissection performed on the body of murdered medical practitioner, Dr Colin Roach, has concluded that the 49-year-old died of multiple blunt trauma to the head. The examination was performed this morning at the Memorial Gardens Mortuary, Georgetown, by Government Pathologist, Dr Nehaul Singh.

His body was handed over to relatives for burial.

The man, who police say is the prime suspect, was arrested this morning allegedly trying to flee to Suriname. He was nabbed at the ‘back track’ in Berbice.

The doctor’s car was also recovered on the West Bank of Demerara yesterday.

Dr Roach was found dead in his Duke Street, Kingston, Georgetown office several days ago with his head reportedly bludgeoned.
