Samuel Singh, 20, of Don Robin, Corentyne died yesterday after he was pinned by a tractor he was operating in a rice field at Vryheid, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
Upon seeing this, his father Anand Singh, sought the assistance of other farmers, who were nearby, to remove his son’s lifeless body from under the said tractor. He was taken to the New Amsterdam Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body was then taken to the mortuary and is awaiting a post mortem examination.
