Police disclosed today that they have in custody, a 23-year-old, Haslington, East Coast Demerara man, after he was found with a shotgun and seven matching rounds.
The Guyana Police Force said that it received information that the man had a firearm to sell and a search was subsequently conducted. Cops found a black 12-gauge shotgun along with seven live cartridges in his bedroom.
Asked if he is a licenced firearm holder, the man responded in the negative. He was subsequently arrested and escorted to the Cove and John Police Station where he is in custody pending charges.
