A party of policemen conducted a cordon and search exercise at Splif Street Buxton, East Coast Demerara (ECD), where a black plastic bag containing several transparent ziplock bags, each containing a quantity of cannabis leaves, seeds and stems, was found in a unfenced empty plot of land situated on the eastern side of the street.
Searches were also conducted at Melanie Market square, where a quantity of cannabis leaves, seeds and stems was found in an abandoned concrete structure situated on the southern side of the street. 
The narcotics were weighed at the Vigilance Police Station and amounted to 138 grams.
No one was arrested.
