Police in Regional Division #10 are currently on the hunt for three men who allegedly robbed a family of four of three cellphones and gold jewellery valued $400,000.
According to a report made, the three perpetrators went to the home of the family located at Blue Berry Hill, Wismar Linden about 20:15hrs yesterday, where they held them at gunpoint and demanded their valuables. In the process, one of the perpetrators who was armed with a firearm, discharged two rounds as his accomplices relieved the family of their belongings.
As they were making their escape, Corwin Sampson, who was returning one of the victim’s motorcycles, which he had borrowed earlier, was shot to his left knee before being relieved of his silver chain valued $20,000 and a silver ring valued $5,000.
The injured man was rushed to the Linden Hospital Complex where he was treated and admitted.
Sergeant Chand, Detective Corporal Layne and Detective Corporal Greene are leading the investigations into the occurrence.
