Six more persons who tested positive for COVID-19 have died, taking the death count in the country to 1,154, the Health Ministry reported this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Guyana has recorded 424 new cases, taking confirmed infections since March 2020 to 58,196 from 498,254 tests. There are 19 persons in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 166 in institutional isolation, 12,762 in home isolation, and 26 in institutional quarantine. Some 44,095 persons have recovered to date.
