Two more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 1, 156.
The latest fatalities are two unvaccinated, Region Four men, ages 81 and 66.
Guyana also recorded an additional 408 cases, taking confirmed infections since March 2020 to 58,604 from 500,670 tests.
There are 408 persons in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 173 in institutional Isolation, 11,818 in home isolation and 11 in institutional quarantine.
Some 45,440 persons have recovered to date.
