A Venezuelan is now on remand after being slapped with a manslaughter charge, allegedly committed on a Miner.
Yesica Carolina Rondon Mayo was brought before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennon at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts. The manslaughter charge was read to her with the aid of an interpreter.
The particulars of the charge states that on February 12, at Sandhill Backdam, Kaikan Upper Mazaruni, unlawfully killed Beauford Watson.
Watson also called “Marlon” is a miner of Lot 170 Thomas Street, South Sophia.
Mayo was not required to plead to the charge. The matter was adjourned until March 14. Mayo was placed on remand.
