Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal today met with contractors executing projects along the East Coast of Demerara.
He visited Strathspey, Bladen Hall and Vigilance and the La Bonne Intention housing development.
While the works of several contractors are progressing smoothly, the Minister voiced his disappointment with the pace of a number of others.
He reminded them of the importance of their work on the lives of hundreds of Guyanese who are anxiously awaiting to build their homes and urged that the work be expedited.
The contractors were also given an opportunity to highlight issues that may be causing delays. Other concerns pertinent to the completion of the projects were also discussed.
Minister Croal was accompanied by technical staff attached to the Central Housing & Planning Authority (CHPA). The engagement is a follow-up to an inspection conducted by the Minister last Thursday.
