Ronaldo Chapman, also known as ‘Packie’, a Wismar, Linden resident has been charged with multiple offences, including robbery under arms, possession of firearm and ammunition without a licence, and possession of narcotics for trafficking.
The 23-year-old was arrested on March 22, 2023, for possession of narcotics for trafficking, which occurred at Wisroc New Scheme, Wismar. Following further investigation, he was also charged with robbery under arms, which occurred on March 16, 2023, at Block 22 back road and committed on Marlon David.
Chapman appeared before Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Linden Magistrate’s Court on March 29, 2023, where the charges were read to him. While he pleaded not guilty to the summary charges, he was not required to enter a plea to the robbery under arms charge.
The accused was remanded to prison on the mentioned charges and was also committed to serving an 18-month sentence for the possession of narcotics for trafficking, which was done in absentia.
The case has been postponed until April 28, 2023.
