Bhoula Persaud, also known as “Daniel”, a 33-year-old resident of Logwood Enmore, East Coast Demerara (ECD), has been charged in connection with multiple larceny offences.
The accused was brought before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court last Friday, where several charges were read to him. Persaud pleaded guilty to two of the simple larceny charges along the larceny of poultry charge. For these three offences, he was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the remaining three simple larceny charges. These cases have been adjourned until June 25, 2023.
